I feel like something is in the water, I have four girlfriends who are pregnant and another friend who just had twins!! Whatever you are drinking ladies I need some, I'm not having any luck yet. But this blog is about fluff not fertility so back to it.......I just attended a baby shower for one of my most stylish friends. She is having a boy and they are naming him Cash....so cute. Her theme for his nursery is yellow and black which in turn was also the color theme of the shower. Instead of the usual baby gifts, books were requested instead to fill Cash's future library.
The place card can later be used as a bookmark, part of the "library" themed shower.
Isn't the bartender cute?
This is where the magic happens.....ahahaaa
Baby's wardrobe. I LOVE the pig.
The sofa turns into a bed, just in case. It is from DWR. I really love how the room doesn't scream "I'm a boy" and doesn't look babyish.
The playroom. The books she received have a lovely home on her PB kids bookcase!

Thanks!!!
Wow, fab! I'm so inspired by non-traditional nurseries. Filing this idea away. Love the black and yellow.
CASH? Do she by chance watch "Men in Trees" with the beautiful Scott Elrod portraying CASH?
Beautiful!
However....studies have reported that yellow walls make babies cry.

How cute - looks like a lovely party and nursery!
The clothesline at the shower is adorable. I LOVE the nursery! I love that it is stylish and doesn't look like a typical nursery.
That is what I love about it too! The onesies that oare on the clothesline also served another purpose. As a shower activity we ironed decals onto the onesies. They were things sentimental to the couple or just inside jokes. He actually wore a few already though!
I think ironing decals onto the onesies is such a great idea. I'll have to keep that in mind if I ever host a baby shower. Would you happen to know where the black and white rug is from?
